Al Gore's Data Accurate?

I wish we could get a panel discussion on Al Gores movie and mission. Every time I hear his view and all his facts I also hear a group of scientist that disagree. What I haven't seen is a live debate with both sides represented.

I am not an Al Gore fan. But I will tip my hat to his getting this country and others focusing on a huge problem. Global Warming and Green House effect is real. Might be a cycle might not be. But one fact is true for both sides. We need alternative energy and our global population is not slowing down any time soon. Thus his arguments for newer more efficient use of energy and the generation of energy is valid in my opinion.

Why is it that he finally does something good (Global Warming) and now has disappeared? Did the Democratic Party silence gentleman Al Gore once again? He was doing so well?

Has anyone seen him on the lecture tour? Very strange that during an election year he would be so quiet? Did the Clinton's evil empire ask or tell him to go away for a bit so not to tie into Hillary's evil engine?

If anyone has spotted the elusive ex Vice President let us know here.

Did Al Gore retire or did the democratic party silence him once and for all? I for one think he is a quack but at least he got attention placed on Global Warming. Is it real or another attempt at big business to take advantage of hysteria?

It's real folks. Science has learned through specialized studies over the past few decades that there is movement afloat and changes in the atmosphere that will LEAD to changes in our lives. Is it a cycle or man made?

Who cares! We need to come together and find solutions or Katrina was just a small sample of what we will see on the shore lines of Hawaii and all other isolated islands. Not to mention, New York City, Los Angeles (might be a good thing to clean up the pollution!), Miami, Rio, London...on and on and on....

I find it very fascinating that Al Gore wins the Nobel Prize for his work on Global Warming and right after that is never heard from again. What the heck happened. I'm not one of those to hammer him on his accuracy claims as to me he is a hero because he got all of us talking about something that is critical for all of the world's children.

I would have thought that he would be very active in the Democractic Party but nothing is coming out from the candidates on either side. The Republicans are not taking shots at him and the running Democrats are not embracing him.

In gentleman Al Gore a has been? If so, I wish to thank him for his efforts and again, right or wrong the man gave up his personal lifes time to further the cause and make waves in countries that can make a difference.

Al Gore was thrust on the world after a failed attempt to lead the country. He is a controversial politician and we cannot afford to get caught up in his hype machine on Global Warming. I am no expert but I do read articles written from both sides of the equation and try to rationalize the situation.

None of us can. We are dealing in 1000's of years of evaluation not 100's or 10's of years. There is supporting data that shows the hype is over blown. Now I think all that we are seeing with the Hybrid Cars and alternative energy investments like Solar, Wind and Water is a great thing.

If all we get is new and better more efficient transportation and power generating inventions then I will tip my hat to Mr. Gore. But I do not approve of his lack of scientific depth in getting to this utltimate positive situation with the companies that can change the way we get around and power the grid.

Global warming is always going to have two sides to the topic. What was needed and we got it from Al Gore was a podium. Scientists needed someone with a name and a background to stand up and get the World Governments socialized on the green house effect.

Say what we want about Al's data as I do agree there are many solid scientists who do not agree with his statments, the man created a lot if interest and focus on our planets healing needs.

If we can get the transportation industry and the engine builders to unite on a common non polluting propulsion then perhaps we can get the right mix of investment and research to provide the generations in the future with a positive landing zone for them to have.

If we continue to rely on fossil fuel we will fail. I know there are companies like A123SYSTEMS out there that have made great strides with battery technology. This is key!

Go solar and go electric and we will have our planet on the mend...
