Alternative Water Power

by Jefferey Calnerson
(New Orleans, LA)

Very interested in finding out more about water as an alternative energy source to coal, fossil fuel and natural gas. Although we hear about the drought and climate getting warmer I still see our ocean currents as a vast untested engine source of electricity. In constant motion at all times and changing directions and depth with the climate activity.

The force of mother nature is a free source to cage. If we can come up with an alternative energy strategy that incorporates all that nature provides then perhaps the sum is better than a single strategy like nuclear.

I liken this to wind power as the water moves constantly in the ocean and is predictable. With rising tempratures we will see rising oceans levels and thus even more energy perhaps.

I welcome your views and look forward to a nice chat on this.

Water As An Energy Source
by: Darren, New York

I think water has to be looked at as an alternative to fossil fuel production. However, water is not in abundance either in the natural drinking water sense. We need to look at the oceans. Last I heard the ocean was rising due to global warming.

Al Gore is receiving his way overrated Nobel Peace prize for something that I will thank him for on getting the job started but his facts are all cloudy.

Getting back to water as an alternative for energy we need to think of the Oceans Currents. The oceans are rising. During violent storms we see some of the most powerful and destructive energies on the planet yet we harness zero.

We should provide desalinization to the coastal towns for drinking and go deep water for the energy factory mother nature provides us twenty four hours per day! Solves two problems in my book.
