Florida University
by: Tommy

If Florida University doesn't win the conference outright we should hang this Coach. He has pissed off just about everyone outside of Florida and is showing signs of not having the depth we were told he would have by now.

If I have to watch the LSU Tigers hoist one more trophy I will puke. I hate that school. In fact, Leslie Miles is one step below my coach. I love my Gators but I just think this Urban character is over-rated.

Lots of talk about the injuries this summer so I suppose he is kissing butt in advance of a weak showing in the Fall. God help us get rid of this joker.

Georgia Will Win It All
by: Able Testones

The Bulldogs were robbed last year by the inept management of the BCS. No way the LSU Tigers should have been in that game. Although anyone would have beaten that overrated team. Even Illinois whooped the BuckEyes and then they got whooped by that LA LA Team.

Make no mistake. The Bulldogs of Georgia will be in the big game in January. No one has the speed or class of this team. LSU will be lucky to win 8 games. Oh, I forgot, they have 8 home games!

What a joke. Georgia undefeated and unscathed. I hope we get that LA Team as they are the only team on paper that looks to have our depth and speed but we will stomp them as well. They are in our cross hairs.

The Bulldogs of Georgia will run the table. Take the Lessie Miles.

LSU 8 Home Games to 4 Road Games in 2008?
by: Jeff in Pittsburgh

Am I reading this right in the Gazette today? Can't be right but what I read was that the Defending champs are only playing 4 road games of their 12 next year?

C'mon Leslie Miles you can take your team on the road more than 4 times in a 12 game season? Are we afraid to let them venture outside that little bowl of a stadium you have in baton rude?

LSU fans should be ashamed of this schedule. Go Panthers! Go Buckeyes!

Where Are The Tiger Fans?
by: Steve Levy

Ok, I think we are close enough to the Fall Classic to get things stirred up a tad. I can think of a few things to get us started like lets name the top 10 Teams for week one. Now there's a science!

Tired of This Banner of LSU Already
by: Nancy, Tide Country

When will this banner be taken down? Do I have to look at this all season? It is going to stir my feathers up as the Tide are gonna whoop these pittiful bobcats of a team.

LSU is yesterday's news. Bama is rising fast and we have a clean program thats to The Coach.

What does LSU have left in the tank from last years Lucky season? They should not of had a shot at the title with that team. Georgia or USC were better although USC was a distant 3rd in my vote. Im not a Bulldog fan but they were the better of the three teams in question. What a farse. Big Asterisk with this BCS LSU Bobcat win!

LSU Football Fans

Well ye old LSU Tiger football fans your rein is going to come crashing down on your heads this fall. You were blessed with some late game heroics last year and we tip our hats to your championship but this year you will be lucky to win your division let alone get a decent football BCS ranking and game.

The BCS belongs in Alabama and you know thats gonna hurt you in ways the SEC can only describe. So pump your darn tiger tails one last time.

The Tide is once again marching on your grave.

Les Miles Is Very Quiet
by: Trent in Cedar Rapids

Les Miles you out there partner? What is going on with this years spring practice? We miss the being in the Big Easy. Transplants to Iowa about five years ago.

Anyone alive out there? We need some old fashioned insider stories. What is going on with our QB? Is there one that will take us to the promised land once again to grace the pages of the internet back to back!!!!

USC QB Competition
by: Clay in Los Angeles

When is the last time USC did not know who the QB was really going to be? The answer is Matt Lineart. He was actually not projected to take over the job after Carson Palmer left. Matt Cassell had the job to lose and Matt took advantage of Spring and Summer opportunities and won the battle that extended the QB dominance in College Football we have seen from USC over the past few years or shall we just say DECADE!

Now we have Mitch Mustain battling Mark Sanchez and this could well be a similar ending to the past where the heir apparent loses to the younger and very capable Mustain. Had Sanchez won that Oregon game perhaps we are not writing this. He didn't lose that game it was a team collapse although thats harsh as the Stanford loss was truly the Team Collapse on all sides of hte ball and coaching staff.

My projection is that Pete Carroll gives the early nod to Sanchez as he has the years of studying the program. But this will be as hard a decision come the Fall as any in the past for Mr. Carroll and staff.

Mustain is a winner as is Sanchez. May the best man win.

Fight On!

NY Giants Supreme
by: Anthony in Rome NY

Had to drop that in there one more time and I live far closer to the Bills than the world champs. NY football has never been so good as it is right now. As for College Football it is truly in need of a playoff system.

They could do a January Madness so easily. This would bring in much more money than they are seeing now and they could take the Top 8 Bowl Games and use them as Round One!

If they had this, then LSU would have had a much more challenging run to the latest title game where OSU played like the OSU Beavers not the Buckeyes. Of course, now that they have shown their metal two years in a row maybe the Buckeyes should let the OSU Beavers play for them next time.

We all hear about USC this and USC that but from my vantage point they screwed up big time by letting patsy Stanford ruin their rise to the top. The way they finished the season they were one of the top 3-4 schools. Georgia was hard to figure given their low key season (IMHO) but they have an ax to grind this year!

OSU vs USC in week 3! Now there's a nice way to launch the year!

Charlie is Very quiet
by: Domer, in Chicago

The great pumpkin learned his lesson we suppose and is keeping his chomping lips quiet this spring. Can't wait for Granny Holtz to annoint them once again the SURPRISE team of 2008/2009. Probably even put them in the running for the BCS with Charlie Weiss as the Coach of the year!

Predicated of course on the biggest flop and then turnaround in teh history of the sport. Not in our life time. I wish we could just get NBC and the school to work out a settlement with the Weiss Trust fund and get on with the real building of this program.

Notre Dame is by far the greatest football program of all time. Nothing compares. We should not settle for the likes of this guy. He is a Bronx big mouth with NO real credentials for the head coaching position of Americas most treasured post in CFB.

Charley has no dignity and is all about the Weiss foundation so I suppose we are stuck with him. On a positive note, he is a great family man and for that we have a little to adhere to with this sour legacy. He is a good man when it comes to his family. If only he would treat our program with the same dignity and leave on mutually acceptable terms.

The Irish kids and legacy deserve better.

Les Miles Gets A Raise
by: Sandy in Phoenix

He should be paying the school to coach. This guy is a ego maniac and is harboring an average capability with a great run of athletes. But last year showed he has a thread of wins that could have gone disasterous.

Now Im sure the Tiger Nation will pounce on this as he DID win the Trophy but he is not the type of coaching talent for an overall program that needs discipline right away.

In my opinion, LSU will be fighting to even make it to their conference championship this year. The SEC is not as strong as past years but some of our middle of the road schools can now play on even terms with the Tigers.

The do have the SEC's best cheerleaders though!

Go Bama!

Clemson is on the rise
by: Jeff in Atlanta

It just may be back to back for the Tigers but it won't be LSU listed on top of this page. By the way, I love this forum. You all are really College Football aware. So, LSU fans I bow to your great season and it was truly a great year for you guys even with the two losses and margin victories in some tough games.

But, 2008 won't be the Tigers of LSU. The Clemson boys are going to rock your boat and tip you over back into the muddy Mississippi river you so love.

Clemson will knock off all comers. Home games will be a joke. Away games will be a breeze. We will play anyone anywhere!

Rodriguez is the answer
by: Kip in Michigan

Thank you so much Les Miles for not coming to Michigan. We have the right coach and person for the job. You would have taken us into the dungeon of all that is wrong with College Football today. You belong to LSU forever. Rest in peace.

Now, Rich Rodriquez is exciting. Ran a clean program in West Virginia and will open up the playbook for the Big Blue men of Michigan.

We haven't been this excited for a long time. Can't wait to take back the glory years of past and once again dominate the Big 10 and beyond. We may just surprise all those doubting Thomas's out there. For the life of me I can't seem to get anyone to sell there seats!

When we come a knocking this year you best be ready!!!

Charlie Weiss The Genius
by: Golden Domer

Well Sir Charles Weiss you best be on your best behavior for the loyal green of ND are a watching you Laddy. May the day of reckoning be apon your doorsteps. May allmighty God take you into his realm and lift you from your curb of total dillusion and cast you into greatness as you once promised us all.

Charlie Weiss, the great blowhard, sits by counting our Money (and of course our sponsor NBC) while he laughs at all that believed in his million lies and stories.

Gone are the fat fingers full of gold during the loser rooms press conference. Gone are the quick quips that got the press on edge. Gone is Charlie Weiss soon we hope.

May the great dome of Notre Dame cast a winning season or the blad to Charley's career.

Rivals Recruiting States
by: Jim Denton in Orlando

Well it looks like USC got another big commit from the 2009 class. Anyone else confirm this? I heard on the wire Saturday that they got the top QB Barkley. He is the real deal. Makes Jimmy the Clausen slayer look like chump change as this kid really played up in D1 High School where JC played D3 and daddy and him just pumped his stats until the State Championship game where JC threw for uh oh, 6 interceptions and his FIRST ever loss. Now there's a bright future at ND...but we already know the rest of this story....

Im hoping that Florida State wakes up soon.....

Les Miles
by: Kipp in St Louis

Why is it that everytime I think of his name I cringe? Les Miles just seems like the classic punk bully when we see an interview with him. Well to the victor belongs the spoils because thanks to Herbie and ESPN he is stuck in LSU back country the rest of his career. He will have to watch Rich Rodriquez shine and steal the glory of Michigan Football that is an alumni's dream. Poor Lester he is truly the loser in this one. LSU was going down hill the final 3 games of the season and then the dagger in Lesters back when he had to pull out of the job race he really wants.

Say hi to Rich in Michigan Lester.....

No BCS Champs
by: Nick, Rome NY

LSU on paper is the champ. But the fan base can never accept this nor should we. We deserve a playoff system. Start small but think big. There is way too much time off (talk to OSU) between end of season and the bowls anyway. The kids and the programs need to keep playing. Rest is for the wounded but overall the rest hurts the sync of the team and chemistry.

We salute those that battle each year but until a playoff system is in place there are NO Real Champs. This isn't about LSU or USC or OSU it's about the farse that the BCS is laying on us the paying fans.

An eight team system would fit nicely into the current schedule. Think about the excitement the Top 20 would become then!

BCS Stole From Georgia
by: Stephen in Atlanta

LSU won big deal they played a team that will forever be known as the worst team in a BCS chamionship back-to-back. OSU should have been our Bulldogs. We were robbed and NO way would LSU be hoisting the glass if we were there.

Now I know what ya'all are thinking. How can we claim to be hurt when we didn't win our conference. Well, thats a fair statement but by God we are the best team and would have shown the country that had the BCS idiots let us in.

Where is the justice to our fans? Where is the playoff system with the BCS. Until then we stand united as pissed off fans in the great state of Georgia.

UT will return in 2008
by: Stacey in Austin

Behind Colt we can see nothing short of a BCS championship series. We will play anyone anywhere with this team in 2008. Yes, 2007 was a bit of disappointment for Texas but Longhorn fans unite as Spring is in the Air and the bad taste of OU and watching the LSU fans dance on our Trophy is not fun.

We will fix this in short order in 2008!
