The downside to this of course is left overs. You will be seeing this grow exponentially so true to form think of creative ways to move dinner left overs to next days lunch menu! Next diet tip, set a pitcher of water in the center of your dinner table. Everyone gets a starter glass full of eight ounces of water. Start each meal by having everyone drink half of their water. Somewhere near the middle of your meal have everyone finish the drink and refill. This will create a sense of fullness in your stomach and curb your desires to keep eating. The added benefit here is we just don't drink enough water as a culture and this must be one the key natural ingredients that the body needs the most of. So, going forward, give us your thoughts by adding your own tips (see form below). Enjoy! Clock ManagementMost of us have a similar BIG problem with our diets. We like to have that comfort taste right before we go to sleep. Guilty as charged I must add. It was and to some degree still is a big challenge for me to just say no to the after dinner late night snack. Our bodies are incredible machines. They are effected by many things and one of them is Time. As the sun begins to drop our brain sends a signal to our organs to start cooling down (so-to-speak). This is a good thing as this is the MOST important period of the day for body repair. Free radicals range throughout our body. Antioxidants look for the Free Radicals and attempt to neutralize them before they become a bigger problem like inflammation or worse case a cancer creating tumor. As the sun drops on the horizon the brain begins a methodical shut down to prepare for a good nights sleep and thus a repair of the internal body. If we are adding SUGAR to our body in the evening the odds are that we are probably not burning those new found calories (fat) prior to going to sleep. Thus the glucose/sugar must find a resting place and this is very negative to a healthy way of living. We gain weight. We add unwanted pounds to critical areas of the body that now remain with us until we create a deficit and begin to burn them off. So, getting back to Clock Management, we would advise (based on our experience) that you try to halt all Comfort Foods prior to 7p. If you do partake in the fun foods then try taking a 45 minute brisk walk to offset the urge that was satisfied. But most important strive to be asleep by 9p with NO TV, NO Radio and NO lights what so ever. The sensors in the body want total darkness to be at complete rest and thus do a complete repair of your internal needs. Simple Cup Measurements

Ok, I'm not original on this one. Just read this on MSNBC: Now, I know it's bad but this is stretching the boarders beyond even my comprehension. Normally I don't like to give you external links but just to show yu that I am not making this one up out of thin air you can read this at MSNBC in their archives. This is an extreme way of getting to the heart of the matter. This Mayor is at least recognizing there is a serious problem here!
