Alternative Thought Process
Anyone getting some good news from the media lately? There was a talk back in the 1980's about launching an all "Good News" media company. This idea was born out of the constant negative press that we saw in print, audio and television. Well that was twenty plus years ago and we still have a dominating landscape of "Bad News" where ever you choose to get your news fix.
Not a lot has changed and in fact the top stories today are dramatically much worse than those of past years. With the War effort, the mortgage crisis (3.3M homes forecasted to be lost) and a government team that is in need of a huge upgrade, we are bombarded by horrific news stories all around.
So, what does this all mean? Where is the message in all of this and how should we prepare ourselves and our children as they grow into adults and leave the nest? Well, no time like the present than to turn to those that have not only weathered the storm but profited during the crisis. I'm not talking about the stock brokers who make money on the up and down swings. I'm talking about the Warren Buffets of the world. There are many examples.
The one thing leaders like Mr. Buffet continue to do is stay one step ahead of the down swings and one step ahead of the future "next big wave". On the lecture circuit we hear a lot about own your own business. Be your own boss and control your own destiny. Do this while you have a source of income (day job) and plan for slow growth but modest gains. The media certainly is pointing to this as they continue to remind us of GM, FORD and others having mass layoffs. The airlines are gasping for answers and don't even see their true competition which we believe is Web Meetings from corporate giants such as CISCO and Microsoft. The airlines feel the pain of fuel prices but see nothing of the pending swing from business travel to more meetings via the internet than ever before. It's coming and it is here to stay.

Our team of distributors reaches from coast to coast. We are over 90 strong in the management ranks with over 1500 retail clients collectively. From VP's of banks to the hair salon we have just about every piece of the American "Old" dream covered with part time and full time business builders. We helped distributors in Las Vegas Nevada recently with their first home tasting party. Although skeptical at first and expecting a low turnout we had to get additional chairs to make every comfortable. It's clearly not a perfect science as it relies on the use of a special toolbar. Of the over 100,000,000,000 give or take web sites in the world little old Planet Berry is ranked under 600,000. Thats against 100B sites known in the world today. That's in under 2 years of development!
