This December there will be a historic meeting of nations trying to solve the world's problems with Global Warming. The meetings will be held in Copenhagen and the topics and decisions made during these meetings will have a profound impact on all nations.

Recently I attended a Climate Change conference in Saipan. Over 400 people attended and the one clear agreement everyone concluded was that the islands of the Pacific and other oceans are sinking. There is very little the islands can do on their own but they are working on Renewable Energy investments to try and make an impact while also working to lower their cost of energy.

The islands of the Pacific and all oceans are not causing the true impact to Global Warming. The countries that must make decisions today for our future sake are:

• United States
• China
• India
• France
• Germany
• Russia
• England

The stakes on the table are both Green Topics and Industrializing Nations rights to develop as have been the rights for the Western Nations over the past 100 years plus. India and China alone could have a huge impact on the overall health and wellness of planet. But they argue that certain Agreements would cripple their ability to grow as a nation and produce competitive products utilizing Coal and other vast energy sources that are typically Non Green.

Their arguments have merit. Why should rules imposed today benefit other nations who prospered under "dirty" cheap energy sources for decades. The answer is obvious but the politics are the root cause of the overall problem. There is a company in India that we have featured here. The name of the company is Tata Motors. They announced a couple of years ago the development of an inexpensive automobile powered by fossil fuel priced for low income families. Think about the impact to the ozone if just India had a car for every able body driver in the nation. Imagine the pollution from all these fossil fuel buring vehicles adding to the jet stream for other down wind nations to suffer from.

The problems we all face are real. The solutions have to be designed in such a way that the right technology reaches all countries. The right energy solutions are quickly dispersed to nations developed and developing. Maybe more important to those nations developing and with considerable size in their population base.

Think of the possibilities if we solve this problem as one Planet and achieve a major step towards Total Fitness for all.
