Building Your Home Based Business
For most of us this topic has been considered from time to time. It's easy to see how beneficial a home based business would be for anyone. You control your own destiny. You set your brand and what you will bring to market. You determine your own time frames for success and thus build a buisness plan around these thoughts.
So, how do you take the intial step? Where do you go for information that is validated from people or companies with experience? No easy answer here. It takes time and effort. Where most people fail (more fail than succeed) is that they take their passion and thus excitement and drive it to the market too quickly. They skip key metrics that would have pointed out directional steps needed for proper early stage development.
We strongly believe that you write down the Pro's and Con's of your business idea. Be honest and be hard on yourself as this is where you develop your personal scorecard that will unveil key points to consider when deciding to set forth and launch a home based business.
There are two basic models we believe exist. One is where you have a service or product unique to you and you develop it for retail or wholesale markets. Lots of legal and contractual review needed here to protect your intellectual property and personal/professional liability from harm. The second way is to become a Distributor of another companies product. This is by far the quickest way to enter a market as a small business owner but is also where most fail on their first attempt.

Retirement Thoughts
