Let The Contest Begin! April 03, 2008 |
| Hello, Hello everyone. We exited February with so many new additions to the Planet Berry family of companies that at times it's amazing to see how well it all integrates to the business and our clients. Our Mona Vie team flat out just exploded with growth. Thanks to the Talmadge Group we group by 9 new distributors on their team in 6 weeks! All of Marc's team are at vaious stages of launching their web sites and business ventures in April. We also launched our First Monthly Writing Contest in March of 2008. You can go to Planet Berry LLC and click on Contest to submit your story and be entered to win a case of Mona Vie! Our first ever Planet Berry Author of the month goes out to: Sally WindsorThe contest drew six submissions and the competition was very good. Way to go Sally! Good luck to the Cubs and Sox this year! Calling all RunnersIn March we also launched a new section of Planet Berry called Runners World. As we grow this addition we will have unique pages developed and updated by Locations. We started with the State of Washington and will add new states as time permits! Whew, is that a mouthfull. The idea behind Runners World is to provide Local information to events around the country and world that help those seeking new challenges or adventures. The State of Washington is now live. Click here: News From Mona Vie HQSome of you may have seen the companies news release about lawsuits and recent investments made into Mona Vie. I will address the lawsuit item first and foremost. The information coming out of Mona Vie HQ is that there are Companies that have Distributors like Mona Vie that do not allow their Distributors to join "competing" distribution ventures/companies for a peroid of time once they resign/depart from their current contracts. Recently, several distributors has left Amway and apprently the numbers must be large as Amway filed to prortect their companies rights to their distributors. Mona Vie did not pursue these individuals and they came on their own free will. Conversely, Mona Vie International allows it's Distributors free will to come and go as they please. The management of Mona Vie hopes that all companies will behave in such a way and does not tolerate the targeting of companies such as Amway buy our existing members. So time will tell as to how that all shakes out. That's why we have lawyers and they will do their job to litigate a supportive response. When more is available you will all get updates if you are a Distributor. On a positive note! Mona Vie also announced that they entered into an agreement with TSG Consumer Partners. TSG Consumer Partners Provides Substantial Growth Capital for MonaVie Press Release [Salt Lake City, UT] - March 24, 2008 - TSG Consumer Partners, the leading provider of growth capital for branded consumer companies, has made a significant investment in MonaVie for a small, minority equity interest in the company. TSG pioneered focused investing in high-growth, well-branded consumer companies and has an exceptional 20-year track record. With approximately $1.5 billion in capital under management, TSG has invested in well-respected brands such as Arrowhead Mills, Terra Chips, Glaceau VitaminWater, PureOlogy, Smart Balance, Smashbox Cosmetics, Meguiars, Famous Amos, MET-Rx, and Mauna Loa Macadamia Nuts, among others. "MonaVie just got stronger through our strategic partnership with TSG, and Im excited because our distributors will be the beneficiaries," said Dallin Larsen, founder and president of MonaVie. "Most importantly, TSG and MonaVie share the same values of focus, integrity, and results." Charles H. Esserman, president and chief executive officer of TSG, said that he personally embraces MonaVies mission of providing the best products that nature and science can create as well as an opportunity that allows people to pursue their dreams. TSG is more proud of its investment in MonaVie than any other company in its history. "Since founding TSG, I have invested in many companies that I am very proud of, which have become enormous consumer brands," said Esserman. "With so many passionate and capable people working together, MonaVie has the potential to dwarf the growth of all of the brands we have participated in building. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for TSG, based upon the future outlook of MonaVie and its potential to help people on so many levels."
