EQUITY AND FAIRNESS REQUIRES PLAYOFF

The computers were supposed to represent a non-biased system; however, all conferences are not treated equally. The SEC and BIG 12 are weighted from the beginning, which gives a higher ranking for those teams. The distortion is then perpetuated as the season progresses. Also, apparently the computers don't downgrade teams for playing Div IIA schools or for having 8 home games in a season! That's a joke.
Purportedly, SEC and BIG 12 play a "championship" game, but the conferences are artificially divided and there is no requirement that the teams all play each other. At least PAC-10 plays all teams; therefore no championship game is needed. Just use the computers to compare the teams with equal criteria, with all the facts, including margin of victory and ding teams for playing Div.II and additional home games. Then use these rankings for a playoff. Then the championship will mean something. Do you really think I consider LSU a champion last year after having lost twice?
They didn't deserve to be in the game more than other teams...likewise Ohio State. This year Florida is getting rewarded for hanging 70 on a Div.IIA school in November at home! Oh yeah...I forget that the SEC is the "toughest" conference. Give me a break...end this farce and have a system to establish teams for a playoff!
