French Toast

by Alicia Thomas
(The Great State of Montana)

I know that Planet Berry strives for healthy nutritional topics/articles but maybe just this once we can go against the grain, Irene?

Ok, we love French Toast. There I said it. Our ingredients are as follows for 4 servings (2 pieces of French Toast per person). So this would handle 8 slices.

4 Eggs
1 Stick of Real Butter
1 cup of milk
1 tsp of cinnamin
8 slices of Hawaiin Bread

Crack the 4 eggs into a bowl that is at least one inch larger on all sides of your bread slices. Pour in the milk and 1 tsp of cinnamin. Beat this all together with a fork or what ever you use to beat eggs.

Take stick of butter and slice it into 4 equal slabs. Place the first one on the pan with medium heat. Move the butter around to get the pan ready. Then dip four pieces of the toast (one by one) into your egg batter. Place the 4 pieces on the pan (butter must be melted). Then take the second slab of butter and place it in the middle of all four slices.

Once the bottoms are golden brown then flip them and continue cooking. Remove the four slices and replace with the last four slices and repeat the steps above.

We like Original Maple all natural slightly warmed up in the microwave.

Take a long walk as you will need it. This also goes well with crispy center cut bacon and a cup of orange juice!

Wow, never thought of Hawaiin bread with French Toast. The secret is not safe with me. Do you have any more gems?
