Ghost Of Maples Past

It was Halloween and we all gathered around to play Truth or Dare. Everybody got there turn except for me. Finally the bottle did come. I knew Anne was going to make me do something hilarious. I sat there and watched her think, and then she said’ you have to go to the secret manor with Maple’. The secret manor was a haunted house that hadn’t been opened for 10 years and I wasn’t looking forward to going. I didn’t want to seem chicken and I didn’t want to go there either, and not alone.

At least I’ll be with Maple; there was a silent pause then a knock on the door it was Anne’s mum, she told me I had to go ,I got up and walked to the door, Anne said do not forget and bring back evidence. I was so nervous that my throat went dry and my hands started to sweat. I said come on Maple lets go I grabbed her hand and walked out the door. Outside all you could see is children dressed in ghost and witches costumes, I started to freak. Maple was my little sister and she was only 10 and mum trusted me to just go to Anne’s and straight back home; but I guess I didn’t listen and this is where it all began……..

Walking down the road we finally came apparition to the house; I had never noticed before. We knocked on the big rusty door and waited with shivers of fear. Nobody answered so we peaked through the key hole ,Maple lent against the door and she fell , the door creaked opened slowly. I caught maple and helped her up and to my surprise I saw the house. Though cobwebs draped from the ceiling and rats ran rapidly across my feet I was amazed at this extraordinary place. The house looked a mess as if someone was in a rush. I stepped in and the door shut behind me, I shrieked so loud but nobody on the other side could hear. Maple said where are we, I want to go home but all I could say is, Maple were stuck here and I’m sorry. We went to venture the house and I was saying what if I get hurt and what if we cannot escape from this place.

I saw something flash past my eyes but I couldn’t think what it could be then it happened again and again I called Maple and asked her if she saw it but she said no and I said but you had to of it was so clear but she said she didn’t and said you shouldn’t of done that dare and stood
on my foot, I yelled and said we were only playing and I didn’t want to look scared in front of all my friends.

She gave me daggers and I just carried on walking around.
