Retirement? Naaa Just Getting Started

An internet business can be the gateway to a new beginning. We hear this a lot since the dawn of the Web. But, what if all this chatter has a new edge to it? What if all those years of working 9 to 5 were actually a training ground for something much bigger?

If you are like most of us you probably are thinking about retirement around the age of 45. Then fifty hits and it's panic timne. The government is not as trustworthy perhaps with the pension funds or social security if you are in the United States. So, here you sit. Only a few years to go now. This is exactly where our story begins. Things were going well. The house was escalating in value at 20 percent per year and no end in sight. We were millionaires for crying out loud. Then food prices began to rise. Gas shortages and the rise of third world countries demanding more fuel caused gas prices to sky rocket.

Well, the one common trait of all those retired is "fixed income" typically. Why be typical we asked. Why not start building that secondary income prior to retirement? Go slow and build deep. What options are out there?

Guess what? We all have knowledge of something. The key question in building an internet business is passion coupled to knowledge. Every human being has passion. We are born with it as evident by our first scream at birth! So uncork the passion and take the knowledge and turn it into pages as a living working internet business.

Why start while you are employed? Great question. Web site internet business takes time. The Googles and the Yahoos of the world don't take kindly to newbies. They tend to assume you won't be around after 12 months. But, with the right business tools you can create a fantastic web site built around all your years of employment and passion. You can show someone who is just starting out leaving high school or college on what you did and why. You become that "key" to someone else.

The first step is an internet business partner like Site Build It. We chose SBI because they were built around brick and mortar. Nothing fancy and easy to manage. Their support is very good and their application and user forums are incredible.

We started this site on May 1, 2007th with about 20 visitors per day. All relatives and friends we suppose but a start non the less. Fast forward one year later and we are 400 Visits per day from over 200 unique visitors per day. We have over 20,000 pages viewed per month and this is where the income will come from.

As our internet business grows in popularity we can monetize the pages that are drawing the most interest (visits). We do this with advertisements from Google or Yahoo or others. Along the way we start looking at Affiliations that match or are similar to our theme and thus our content on each page.

As people visit our pages they will see products that interest them and the Advertiser's will pay us to represent their products on the pages. When they click we are paid. Do the math, if you have thousands of page views you have hundreds of potential clicks per month or if you are really good per day.

By starting early (prior to retirement) you will have created a stream of revenue that could enlighten your prospects for a lifestyle in retirement that never looks back and dreams can be realized.
