A pet is part of the family. Over time they are your child growing up and a life time friend. They hurt and gain happiness just like us and show their appreciation in ways that only our pets can do. When we treat our family pets with love and comfort they pay us back with loyalty and heart warming support for life.

For those with high blood pressure there have been studies on how family pets can actually help with lowering your blood pressure by relieving tension thus stress. So much can be gained by owning a pet and providing a good home for them that the rewards are endless.

Think long and hard about this as there is also the downside to pet ownership and that is the commitment to their lives and space as well. There are many stories that bring you to tears about pet abuse not unlike child abuse yet society obviously treats this differently at times. These are precious lives that should be treated as an extension of your family from day one.
