playoff proposal

this is a proposal for a BCS playoff format...
and it will not ruin the Bowl Game traditional process.
why not take the conference champions that sponsor the bowl games like this.
ACC - Orange Bowl
SEC - Sugar Bowl
Big 10 - Pac 10 - Rose Bowl
Big 12 - Fiesta Bowl
so its gonna go like this. aside from the ROse Bowl (which is of course we know is B10 vs P10), the other conference champions that host the other 3 bowls will get automatic bids. AND THEN will wait for an opponent.
Who will be their opponents. That's when you put smaller conference champions and independents. There gonna have the first games that will technically make the 1st round of the playoffs. winners of these games will then move on to the bowl games, which will be considered the second round. and then it goes on until it reaches final four and the national championship, and at the same time does not ruin the traditional bowl process.
So there will be 5 automatic bids (ACC, BIG 10, BIG 12, PAC 10 and SEC Champions). And some more bids (champions of other confernces and the strongest independent team.)
and games will go like this.
Conf. USA champ. vs WAC Champ
(winner goes to Sugar Bowl)
MWC Champ vs. Storngest Independent Team
(winner goes to Fiesta Bowl)
MAC Champ. vs Southeast Champ.
(winner goes to Orange Bowl)
and then the bowl games. winner advances to the final four and so on.
Or they can make this a larger and better playoff if they add some at large bids too. so its gonna be 2 rounds before reaching the bowl games (conf. host of games will have their BYE's). Its gonna be a Conference Champion vs. an At Large Bid team. until they reach the bowl games, final four, title game.
An example of a larger version of the playoff goes like this.
Round 1.
Pod 1.
CUSA vs WAC
(or any other conference champs who had a better ranking than the other conference champs will only need to play one round to advance to a bowl game.)
Pod 2.
Independent vs At large
Pod. 3.
Southeast vs At large
Pod 4.
MAC vs At Large
Pod 5.
MWC vs At Large
Round 2.
Pod 2. vs Pod 5. (winner advance to bowl game)
Pod 3. vs Pod 4. (winner advance to bowl game)
so it gets other conferences a chance to win the national title, makes the regular season relevant. and of course a playoff system. I hope you guys agree.
