Poetry is My Therapy
by: Helen

When it comes to unwinding and just relaxing I love to read good old fashioned relic poetry. Phrases from the past whereby I can envision the times of so long ago like it were today.

Poetry writing puts me into a trance that is so soothing I can never get enough! I look forward to reading all of the works here as this little thread of Poetry writings takes shape.

Where is everyone from? What is your background?

Poetry Training
by: Anonymous

Is poetry truly an art or can someone gain really good training and become a great poet? I love reading poetry but when I sit down to try and express what Im feeling on paper it just doesn't come out like I envision it.

Where do people go to learn and get skilled on writing poetry other than school which is hit and miss depending on where you grow up....

www.eclecticflash.com
by: Karen

Good looking site. Love to have a place to submit short poetry and have others enjoy my work online. Poetry is a peaceful and expressive way for me to communicate in an otherwise turbulent world. Thanks for the tip

Poetry and Flash
by: Anonymous

www.eclecticflash.com is a new online literary journal dedicated to flash literature and poetry. They accept submissions of anything under 1K word count--poetry, prose, fiction, nonfiction, literary, horror, sci-fi, etc. The site is still under construction, but it looks great.

Poetry Challenges and Support
by: Darlene

I love to read poetry. I would love to write poetry but it only comes to me when Im either driving the car or in the shower. Nothing to write it all down with and then poof it's gone.

Any suggestions on solving this mystery of my brain and lack of recall with incredible inspiration at the wrong time!

Echo The Poetry Corner
by: Sandra Nielsen

This is great. Now let's get us some good old fashioned from the heart poets to share their great writings. It's winter so what better time to read poetry.

Get a bottle of your favorite wine or hot chocolate and snuggle by the laptop for some great readings. Lets see them in January!

Where is the best place online to get sample poetry to gain structure and understanding if one wants to pursue a writing career?

Can someone post here?

How do you get started in poetry
by: Kip

I feel like I can write but I can never seem to sit down and get started. It is very frustrating for me. The thoughts in my head are there but I can't seem to produce a page.
