Slow Cooked Ribs

by Don Anthem
(Houston, TX)

Well it's summer and with that my favorite time of year for outdoor barbeque! We have a family favorite with the old fashioned RIBS.

Here what you need:

1 Slab Of Baby Back or St. Louis Ribs
2. One can of your favorite beer
3. Choose your own favorite barbeque sauce (we like Bulls Eye!)
4. Salt and pepper
5. 1 Garlic Clove peeled
6. Large pot to boil the ribs in water and beer bath
7. Large pan to rest the ribs on after boiling

Steps:

1. Place the slab of ribs on a flat surace.
2. Lightly season the ribs (Bone side down) with salt and pepper.
3. Place the ribs in the boiling pot and pour water over the ribs just so the tops are covered
4. Pour in one can of beer
5. Bring water to a boil on high then once boling turn the heat down to low
6. Do this for 1 hour
7. Take Ribs out of water and lay flat in your large pan with the bones down.
8. Spread your favorite sauce on the meat side
9. Transport to the barbeque and have the barbeque on a very LOW flame.
10. Place the ribs bone down on the grill
11. Let them cook (do not turn the ribs ever) for 20 minutes on this low temprature.
12. Be the first to the table and enjoy your feast!

Best Rib Recipe Period
by: Jeff in Portland

What can I say but Thanks for sharing this inredible recipe. Seems so simple one you do it but I never tried the beer bath for an hour with ribs. We had two slabs this past week and the neighbors could smell it a mile away. One showed up and sat his tail down and ate his fair share.

Do you have any other great ideas like this Barbeque Rib recipe?

We will come back for more!

Ribs Make Me Hungry
by: Cindy

That is one eye popping recipe. Tried it this weekend and it was a big hit. Nothing like a barbeque and smoking ribs for dinner. Do you have any others you would dare share with us?
