The use of the term "National Champion" is a lie. You can use the term "BCS Champion" that's ok.
So the real question is do you want to name a team as the best team in College Football? If you do - you need a playoff - its that simple.
Without a playoff all you have is an "Opinion Champion" - This is a fact.
We need to get the media to start using the correct terms ie The BCS Opinion Championship Game.
