The current system should pit the two overall best teams for the national title. There is so much parity that many teams otherwise qualified are lefft out unfairly.
Now we have the US Government going after the BCS. This is crazy at a time our country needs our leaders focused on JOBS and the ECONOMY. Insane that this is going on. It's so simple. With all the great conferences we now have just take the Champs from the Conferences and pit them against each other until a final game is decided.
The winner is the champion. Too simple!

The current College Football God's (BCS) cannot achieve a pure solution to the Top 2 teams. Without the playoff system there cannot be a true champion.
We all want this. We won't get there in today's College Football world.
